Supermakets, Local Grocery
Coop, Migros, Lidl, Denner, Aldi, Spar are the general supermarkets. Denner is cheaper for dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls etc, compost bags at Lidl.
Indian Grocery stores
1. Art of Food - Oerlikon
2. Barkat Cash and Carry - Schmeide Weidikon is the stop
3. SKT Nathan Store, Joseph strasse, Limmatplatz is the bus stop.
4. SR Fresh Food, Motorenstrasse 9,8005 Zurich, This is also in Limmatplatz. They have Bilwa leaves, Arugampullu etc. And Jasmine (Malli poo) can be ordered for CHF 2.50 or so per mozham

Tibits and Hiltl - Hiltl is tibit's pricey version, they have vegetarian food, samosas etc, you pay by the weight of the plate..will come to 20-30 CHF per plate

Manor - Manora restuarant, where you can order by plate abput 12 CHF I think for a large plate, buffet style
Vapiano - Italian food
Furniture Stores
Migros, IKEA, ConfoRama, Micasa, interio, pfister - are the furniture shops.. all stores except Ikea are better during Sale, which is widely advertised.
Garbage and Recycling
We pay for garbage here. Zurich grabage bags are available in sizes 18, 35 and 60 litres and available in Coop, Migeos etc and in the Postoffice.
Vegetable peels, Food waste can be composted - use the green bins and one way to save on the Zuri garbage bags.
Cardboard and paper recycling - check the stadt website, they usually come once every 2 weeks, they send a calendar by post every year.
Old Clothes, shoes etc- a plastic bag comes in the post every 3 months.
Other things like electrical, furniture - there is a cargo tram that comes once a month. Use your postcode to check the dates.
Brockehaus : these are places to leave things that are in good condition, that you want to give away like cutlery, pictures, toys etc. You can also leave them outside the house with a Gratis sign.
Library
Central bibliotheque at Central is free and is the university library
Petallozzi and Awcz (American Women's Club Zurich Library) have English book about 69-79 CHF for a year
Sparklers available at Migros in the Birthday section , in case you are looking for some.
Coop supercard points - you can use this at Coop City to buy any thing except veggies and grocery
Health Insurance- check if they include gym membership and massages.. the massages are helpful.
